Chairman Takes Leave of Absence
2008年1月11日
You are no doubt aware that the Chamber's Chairman, Dr Lily Chiang, is facing some personal challenges in her business, and as such has requested a leave of absence to enable her to focus her energies on dealing with this matter. As Deputy Chairman, I will be taking up the duties of the Chairman temporarily until further notice. I am sure many of you will share my appreciation of Dr Chiang's statesmanlike decision under these difficult circumstances. We would like to thank her for her strong leadership and commitment to the Chamber since taking up the Chairmanship last May. We look forward to Dr Chiang resolving her problem in a timely manner and, in the meantime, I am pleased to serve the Chamber and you, our members, on her behalf to the best of my abilities. During her leave, I wish to assure you that the Chamber will continue to function as normal, both in terms of our services to you, as well as within the secretariat. I look forward to seeing you at one of our functions soon. Andrew Brandler Deputy Chairman
