Victor Kwong, Chairman of Environment Committee at the Institute of ESG & Benchmark

Victor Kwong is a seasoned practitioner in sustainability, occupational safety, green buildings and fire protection, etc. with over 40 years of experience spanning corporate sustainability, environmental management, energy efficiency, climate resilience and adaptation, and enterprise risk management. He is the Board member of Civic Exchange and holds several influential positions, including Chairman of the Environment Committee at the Institute of ESG & Benchmark, Vice Chairman of the Sustainability Professionals Association, Director of the Conservancy Association, Executive Committee Member of Community Leap, and Advisory Panel Member of Practising Governance. Additionally, he is the Founding President of the Hong Kong Federation of Occupational Safety and Health Associations.

Prior to his retirement, Mr. Kwong served as General Manager – Corporate Sustainability at Towngas, where he led significant initiatives in carbon reduction, climate resilience, construction safety, safety performance improvement, and integrated risk management. Through his work with the Hong Kong Green Building Council, he has also been instrumental in developing the Climate Change Framework for the Built Environment Guidelines, contributing to industry-wide strategies for climate adaptation and resilience.
