Smarter Financial Storytelling
Libertify APAC Ltd isn’t just another fintech company – it’s a story of innovation fuelled by a lasting partnership. Beyond its award-winning AI solutions, what sets Libertify apart is its origin: it was founded in Hong Kong three years ago by Florian Lang and Steve Rosenblum, whose 25-year friendship laid the foundation, alongside Emmanuel Naim and Sebastien Souques.
For Lang, who has been visiting Hong Kong since his youth, and Rosenblum, who has called the city home for several years, all roads lead to Asia’s world-class financial hub. This personal connection to Hong Kong fuels the mission to transform how financial information is communicated.
Winner of the Hong Kong FinTech Award in 2023, Libertify is revolutionizing financial storytelling by turning complex documents into dynamic, AI-powered video content.
“Our mission is to make access to financial information simpler, clearer and more engaging — especially in an age of media saturation and information overload,” explained Lang, who is also the company’s CEO. “Inspired by the work of our associate Olivier Sibony, co-author (with Nobel laureate Daniel Kahneman) of Noise — a seminal book on cognitive biases — we created Libertify to help organizations communicate more effectively and cut through the noise.”
What began as a vision between longtime friends has grown into a trusted solution for major institutions like Société Générale, BNP Paribas and regulatory bodies including the HKMA and Insurance Authority.
“What truly sets us apart is our real-world execution: Libertify produces over 300 AI-generated videos every single day for Société Générale, one of France’s leading banks,” said Lang. “These videos provide timely analysis of tradable stocks and are integrated directly into the bank’s ecosystem. We are technology-agnostic, meaning we can integrate with any client environment and rapidly adopt emerging innovations.”
At the heart of this innovation lie three powerful AI tools. AI Ready Media instantly converts dense reports and PDFs into captivating videos, while Hey Genius enhances web navigation with personalized, interactive experiences. Meanwhile, AI Ready News revolutionizes corporate communication by automating newsletters and turning data into video format.
Unlike experimental AI tools, Libertify’s systems are already fully operational. The company’s approach ensures smooth integration with any client infrastructure, allowing rapid adoption of the latest advancements without requiring deep technical expertise.
Lang said expanding into Asia was a strategic move, with Hong Kong’s dynamic fintech ecosystem, global connectivity and business-friendly environment accelerating the company’s reach. Recognizing the importance of leveraging strong networks, Libertify joined the Chamber following an invitation from InvestHK.
“For us, becoming a member of such a prestigious, well-connected and emblematic institution is a key element of our expansion strategy,” said Lang, noting that the Chamber’s high-profile events have proven invaluable as powerful business accelerators, opening doors to partnerships and new markets. He added that the wide range of training programmes on offer keeps Libertify’s team at the forefront of industry trends.
Like any innovator, the company has faced a few hurdles, particularly in promoting AI adoption in a still-evolving market. To overcome this, it developed a turnkey process that allows clients to see, measure and anticipate AI's value before committing. Another challenge has been attracting top talent in a competitive landscape. Libertify tackles this with a highly selective recruitment strategy, leveraging its presence in Cyberport and Hong Kong’s deep talent pool.
Sustainability and responsibility are core tenets of its operations. The company was selected by Cyberport and Hong Kong’s FSTB for the Green and Sustainable Fintech Proof-of-Concept Scheme, where its AI transformed a major bank’s ESG report into multilingual video content. Libertify’s own operations are designed for efficiency, minimizing computing resources, storage and paper waste.
Lang revealed that the company’s plans include deepening its regional footprint. Libertify has already made waves at hallmark industry events such as Hong Kong FinTech Week, the Asian Financial Forum and GITEX Asia, forging strategic partnerships that consistently drive growth.
