Ref No 006/06 - Registration as a Voter in the Commercial (First) Functional Constituency and Election Committee Subsector [REMINDER]

Dear Members, We would like to remind you registration as a voter this year for the captioned will be closed on 16 May 2006. If your company has been a Chamber full member for at least 12 months immediately before the date of its application for registration, your company would be eligible for registration with the Government's Registration and Electoral Office (REO) as an elector in the Commercial (First) Functional Constituency for the upcoming election of the Election Committee. The Election Committee has 800 members out of which 12 are to be elected by Chamber members. If you have registered before, there is no need for you to take action unless there are changes in your company particulars or your authorized representative. If you have not yet registered, we would like to urge you to apply for registration on or before the deadline. Please note that the application is with the Government’s REO and NOT with the Chamber. Relevant forms are available from the REO or downloaded from the voter registration website: www.voterregistration.gov.hk. The REO enquiry hotline is 2891 1001.
