Annual General Meeting

Item 1 on the agenda is the election of sixGeneral Committee members.  Members may cast their votes by attending in person, by proxy or by postal ballot.  Only the Authorised Representative (i.e. Primary Company Representative)of a member company mayvotein personat the Meeting.  Members may alternatively nominate a proxy to attend and vote instead of them.  A proxy need not be a member of the Chamber.  Or, members may vote by post with the enclosed Postal Ballot Paper.

It is important that members understand a postal ballot is a VOTE.  It is only valid for Item 1.  Once cast, it cannot be changed and renders the member ineligible to vote in person, or by proxy, for Item 1.  A postal ballot also has the effect of cancelling any proxy vote already given for Item 1.

It is also important that members wishing to vote by proxy, should issue one and only one proxy.  Multiple proxies risk being invalidated by the Scrutineer.

IMPORTANT: To be valid, all completed postal ballot papers and proxy forms must be received at the following address not later than 5:30 pm on 18 May 2009:
